Two years after the release of the 12" vinyl 'River', Nona Et Decima return with their first full-length album consisting of two tracks, By Sea and By Air, inspired by the tragic but victorious North Pole explorations of Umberto Nobile and his crew in the early 1900s. The concept album takes inspirations as well from the chants of Dante's Inferno and symbolises the journey motif, both physical and spiritual, through a mix of glacial, tension-filled ambient soundscapes. There is some reference to 1970s kosmische musik, but the sound is modern and features post-industrial and post-metal elements, with a touch of 1980s new wave in the vocals.
