It was bound to be an exclusive double-celebration anniversary release for the Alfa Matrix label’s 20th birthday and FRONT 242’s 40th anniversary, and to be revealed as a surprise at the band’s planned concerts in Brussels, Belgium (Ancienne Belgique) in 2021, however the long-casted shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic once more played spoilsport and upset our plans.
We now decided that the wait was over and that it was high time sharing this beautiful 4-track 12-inch solid blue color vinyl with all of you. With the stunning flashy yellow / blue artwork design of Etienne Augier, “Rewind” brings us back to FRONT 242’s golden moments through the sonic kaleidoscope of the newer Electronic Body Music generation (TERENCE FIXMER, THE HACKER, RADICAL G and KANT KINO) revisiting FRONT 242’s timeless tracks like “No Shuffle”, “Don’t Crash” and “Take One”.
An intimate “fast forward jump into the past and rewind back to the future” release for the unique audience that you are. “Rewind” is strictly limited to 666 units worldwide.

The digital version of this EP holds a bonus dynamic live version of TERENCE FIXMER’s remix of “No Shuffle” and the Bandcamp version also includes the exclusive Bandcamp only “Rewind Medley”.

In celebration of Alfa Matrix’s 20th anniversary, POUPPEE FABRIKK offer us an exclusive vinyl version of their come-back album “The Dirt” that marked the start of the fruitful collaboration between the Swedish giants and the Belgian label and initiated the band’s radical return to their early sonic roots…
With “The Dirt”, POUPPEE FABRIKK brought us back to the good old days of EKM, with the attributes that made the band famous in the late 80’s: uncompromising growling vocals, impulsive repetitive bass lines, and solid hard beats. Many songs on this album were in fact initially written between 1988-1990 and then left to slowly wither away on old four track tapes before getting re-recorded. Offering these dirty and gritty tunes a vinyl format release is only doing them justice! All songs were remastered to better fit this format.
Strictly limited to 300 units worldwide, this vinyl is bound to rapidly become a collector’s item when we see how fast the band’s last two releases instantly sold out!

METROLAND
The wait is over! Belgium’s very own vintage techno pop fame METROLAND start the countdown with their new single “4”. “4”, as in the number, is also a global title available in over 7000 different spoken languages worldwide! “4” is not only the precursor to their new album acting as the first of an announced series of 4 singles in total…
Unlike any other previous METROLAND release, ‘4’ in its original form is a 20-minute song where the same arrangement is reworked 4 times, neatly tied together as one complete song. While the B-side holds two 6-minute-plus versions subtitled “countdown a” and “countdown s”. This new 12-inch release of course combines the typical METROLAND darker bass sounds with their trademark bleeps and analogue sequences. A guaranteed sonic delight for all lovers of vintage synth music with an edge and other “KRAFTWERK & co” amateurs.
“4” sets the very first step to the new concept our two Belgian electronic artists (Passenger A and Passenger S) have been working on over the past 4 years.
This exclusive 12-inch vinyl comes out in two different colours (solid red & transparent crystal), each strictly limited to 150 copies worldwide and is part of a special vinyl series marketed by the Alfa Matrix label for the occasion of their 20th anniversary.
A digital-only 4-track companion EP will also be simultaneously released featuring different tracks and versions.
