New Zealand's female-fronted hellraisers, “Mojo Alice” and their potent combination of stomp rock & blues is back in fine form with the new single “Sad Face”, being released on all streaming platforms Friday 29th April.
Their first new music in almost three years, “Mojo Alice” is excited to show the bands growth and development in fine tuning their sound since their debut album “Liquid Sin” (2019).
The band’s vocalist, Jem comments; "Sad Face is like a ‘lyrical caricature’ about what one hears when living with mental health issues, such as depression. There is an almost narcissistic expectation to simply get over it, stop wallowing and ‘be normal’ whatever that is. Written from my own experiences and from a sarcastic perspective. Sad Face is me!"
“Sad Face” is the first of several singles being released off of the brand-new album “Chompin At The Bit”. (To be released spring 2022)
Recorded in New Zealand and produced by Kentucky-based “Jeff Westlake”, "Chompin' At The Bit" is made up of 10 high-energy, stomp rock tracks, oozing with attitude.

The single release is coming through their label DROP DEAD RECORDS and will be available on all digital platforms. The full album will be released in digital and on vinyl in September of 2022. The album was recorded from June through October 2021 with Jeff Westlake producing and engineering the band's sophomore effort at Ridgeline Studio's and Mojo Alices Studio in New Zealand. Westlake was brought in to do a remix and remaster of the Mojo's first opus "Liquid Sin" at the urging of Doug Franklin of RFL Records that led to his producing CHOMPIN' AT THE BIT. The album will be released on DROP DEAD RECORDS as well.
