Coochilla is a groovy five headed alt-rock band with an organic, yet extraordinary feel. The band’s sound is rock ’n roll with a twist; loud guitars and a funky groove combined with a slightly psychedelic atmosphere delivers the listener an unique auditive experience.
'Tone of the New Day' is a powerful debut of Coochilla's brand new vocalist, Oskari Urpanen. The song's fresh, groovy and bright eyed composition deals with a bygone time when one could see the world from the perspective of childhood’s innocence and enthusiasm. However, the world doesn't appear as such after a certain point of growing up since life mainly consists of tedious daily grind. The situation is not yet hopeless though and the same childminded sensation can be attained if one puts little effort to it. The release breaks the band's hiatus of almost two years and more material is expected in near future.
