“V. Reflect” is the 5th mini-album by THE MAUNT. This EP is dedicated to the complexity and inevitability of change, temptations and destructiveness of power, as well as mental balance in the modern world. Musically it refers to the EBM legends like Nitzer Ebb, early Nine Inch Nails and electro-industrial in style of Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy.
In addition to the EP, THE MAUNT released the official music video for the single “Let’s Talk About It”, where the main hero is literally “engulfed in a whirlpool of terror”, which reminds us a bit of Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”. A 360-degree camera and a fish-eye lens optically emphasize the hero’s madness. While viewing, the obvious question arises: who is this person, and what exactly drives him crazy?
