BIOGRAPHY 2002

Shadowlord was formed in the autum of 1995 by guitarist Richèl and
guitarist /vocalist Lesley (Ex-Sanguinary) Inspired by bands as
Satiricon, Emperor, Marduk ... . A year later a drummer was found and
in 1997 the first gigs were played together with a second vocalist.

The first hard steps for a perfect line-up were made in 1999,
when a new drummer came aboard; Daniël (also played in a Punk-
and Hard Core Metal band). A new additional vocalist was found
in the person of Corpse (Ex-Diabolic Vomit) and Dave Schreurs
(also played in Herfst and Am Tuat) is the man behind the keyboards.
This line-up was completed in January 2000 when bass player Arno
(Sick Being Bored, Veils of Down and Am Tuat) enters the now fully
loaded metal ship.

Only one month after Arno joined the band the first songs were
recored at a studio in Hilversum. Michiel Stoop (Cremation) was
responceble for the enginering of the 4 track debut c.d. called
"Shadowlord Empire",released by "State off Art Productions" on
the 31st of May 2000. The cd recieved good responces in Dutch and
Belgian metal zine's.

Since the beginning, Shadowlord have tried to create their own
style of Black Metal. As every person in the band is involved
in the creation of new songs a great diversity of styles are
mixed with traditional blackmetal. This way Shadowlord has created
its own unmistakable sound with Heavy-,Trash-, Deathmetal and
classical influences. Shadowlord isn't easily comparable to any
other metal band because of their style which will only grow in the future.
June 2002 Dave has left shadowlord as he wanted more time for his other
bands Grimorium Verum & Doodenakker. Shadowlord has found a new Keyboardplayer
in the person of Daphne Alberda.(Imhost & Sanguis)
